RMI ACQUIRES MIDWEST ASSETS OF McTIER SUPPLY
Ray Murray Inc. (RMI) has purchased McTier Supply's Midwest assets from Sam McTier. The transaction has joined two pioneers and longtime leaders in the gas equipment industry.

McTier Supply, founded in 1971 and headquartered in Illinois, was a leading distributor in the high pressure gas and propane industries for over 35 years. "We are very excited about this opportunity to work with McTier Supply customers and look forward to providing excellent service and added benefits as we help grow our new customers' businesses," said Michael Hopsicker, RMI President and CEO.

Customers will immediately notice positive changes such as online ordering capability, a lower freight-free program, increased product availability (from over 19,000 stocked items), a broader group of factory-trained people to help order accurately and efficiently as well as support installation and service for the products. "All the value-added benefits that current RMI Customers enjoy in propane, compressed gas, HVAC and hearth products," the RMI President said.

RMI has serviced customers in the Midwest states for many years and has actively exhibited in the Midwest NPGA Convention & Trade Show for more than a decade. "Many of McTier Supply's customers may already be familiar with us," Mr. Hopsicker reflected.

Midwest customers will receive shipments primarily through RMI's Pennsylvania warehouse where orders are packed and shipped the same day they are received. RMI has hired Paul Bolduc, McTier Supply's sole salesperson in the Midwest and is expecting to rapidly expand sales coverage in that region.

Sam McTier will be joining with RMI to help service and integrate customers. "Sam McTier has worked hard for this industry. We are pleased to welcome customers, staff and friends of McTier Supply into the RMI family," Mr. Hopsicker said.
